1. Verify your phone

SMS is the recovery and step-up channel. Never share an OTP with anyone, including PING staff.

Important: once this number is verified, PING locks it as your security phone. It cannot be removed from the security profile. Any future change must go through a protected account-recovery process.

2. Authenticator app

Use Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator, Authy or another TOTP-compatible app. If you use manual setup, enter the PING secret exactly as shown.

3. Passkey

A passkey uses your phone/PC biometric or device PIN. It is phishing-resistant and recommended for critical withdrawals.

How PING uses security

1. AI understands your request but cannot authorize money movement.
2. PING checks authentication and risk.
3. Critical actions require step-up verification.
4. You can verify by SMS or authenticator code; on the web, a registered passkey can provide stronger verification.
5. The authorization is scoped to the specific action and expires.
